AJ+

Whilst working for AJ+, Al Jazeera’s mobile and social arm based out of San Francisco, I was tasked with partnering with their internal team of journalists to help tell better stories using the power of graphic design. This resulted in a series of infographics and visuals created specifically for the AJ+ app and social media channels that would deliver journalism with impact. The following is the result of that collaboration.

Ebola Treatment

Voting in Ferguson

Syria Bombing

Syria Civil War

Syria Aid

Displaced Migrants

Climate Conflict

Last Words: Police Brutality

Legalizing Pot

What Activists asked of Obama

Keystone Pipeline

All Drones Great And Small

Gaza - The Human Cost

Climate Change

Nigeria Elections

U.S. Shadow Army

Afghani Opium

French Secularism

AJ+ Launch Invite

I was given carte blanche to design the digital invite to the launch party for the AJ+ app. Since the target audience for the mobile app was primarily millennials, my idea was to visualize how much they needed to be plugged into the world around them as they grew older. The simple analogy I chose, along with the copy in the email invite, demonstrated both the fact that they needed to be more aware of world events and that AJ+ made it simple by coming to meet them where they were through the mobile app.
